The Greater Victoria Dog Obedience Training Club (GVDOTC) is an All Breed and Mixed Breed dog training club licensed by the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) and a member of the Association of Island Obedience Clubs (AIOC) to hold obedience and rally trials and practice matches. We have conducted obedience classes in Greater Victoria for over 60 years. Our instructors are experienced dog people and volunteer their time. In addition to various levels of Obedience Classes, we provide instruction and practice in advanced work and preparation for competition.
Our club also sponsers a yearly tracking test held at Woodwyn Farm every fall.
In addition to sponsoring CKC events and conducting classes, we put on demonstrations at schools and participate in Pet Therapy in nursing homes and other facilities. If you would like well-behaved dogs and enjoy activities with them, then this is the place for you.
